I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories

Prancing in your Silver Harness,
Racing through the starry darkness
Streaking cross the winter sky,
Free & happy may you fly

Nakita

You came into our lives for only a single week, in order to recuperate after a surgery and to continue your battle with cancer. And even though you weren't feeling your best, your gentle & loving spirit touched everyone who met you. You were such a sweet little girl, that it was impossible not to fall in love with you overnight. May you forever frolic in the snow-covered part of heaven with our other little girl malamute, Tegan, and all of the other CHAAMP malamutes who have gone on before you. Be at peace, little one, and know that you were loved and are greatly missed.

****************************

Kita came into rescue when her owner was deployed to Iraq.  She had lived with a female teacup chihuahua and a gerbil was her best friend.  She nurtured kittens and let the family's parakeet ride on her back.  We were devastated to learn she had cancer -- such a beautiful girl with so much love to give!  In the few days after her diagnosis, as we were trying to find money to treat her and researching which treatment to try, she suddenly became much worse and was in great pain.  The decision then became very easy. We let her go with great love and sorrow.   Little Kita, you will always be missed and loved.

Phelan

Phelan, you did just that. From the day you entered our home, you were family. We gave you love. You gave back more. We can only hope we were able to make the 2nd half of your life special. You were a bright light in our lives. We will always miss you.

Phelan...

Sometimes a second chance at living is all we want - a chance to shine to show everyone just how much we have to give. To prove to others just how special we are.

Snowflake
Snowflake...
Snowflake was four when she came into rescue and I had over seven years with her. I hoped she might last a few years longer. I can't put in words how much she has meant to me, or to the nieghborhood kids and adults who've visited her regularly. She helped socialize several foster dogs and was a wonderful companion.

Cody...

Cody was a gentle giant, loving and quiet.  He absolutely adored his foster mom, enjoyed playing with children, and loved to be fussed over by women, especially.
